Forgiveness

Forgiveness:

This is one of the most difficult topic to teach in life. Just because everyone has the tendency to feel bitter against someone, except somebody who has been completely broken. One who has already learnt to forgive ahead of the offence. Everybody feels the pain, but only the matured in mind refuses to offer it a seat in his or her mind.
Everyone chooses how he wants his life to be. You may choose to treat one case as insignificant or otherwise. Likewise, is the case in our day to day encounters with people. Relationships could be subjected to stress of different kinds, but with the heart of maturity it could be sustained.
Offences have threatened many homes and marriages, and its quite unfortunate that most victims of broken marriages or friendship today have been those who offered a seat to offences in their minds.
We won't stop keeping grudges until we beleive the fact that no relationship on earth flows through without days of pains and offences. Offences certainly would come, but they don't overwhelm us until we offer them a seat in our minds by manner of giving it a second thought, when we selfishly view the scenario from our own partial perspective.
Then we try to justify all our steps without giving a consideration to the other fellow. We seem right from every angle. The more we begin thinking this way, suddenly comes in a partial judgment whereby grudges sneaks in, and the result of this is pain and bitterness, when an individual feels cheated by his opponent.
It doesn't stop here, but an anticipation for vengeance which could be inform of protest by manner of a negative change of attitude to the opponent. Now, you begin dealing with a bias mind towards the person and want to find faults in everything he does. The feelings of unsatisfaction flood your mind and in a way, the person's presence becomes a threat to your conscience. You always want to defend your ego anytime you see him or her.
Funny enough, you quickly create a boundary for yourself and a prison in your heart for the person. Surprisingly, the person may not even be aware of all these negative developments from your side because he wasn't aware of the time you signed the contract. So, he lives in freedom, while you create a limit for yourself.
Beloved, you are not doing yourself any good by chewing the curd of the past offences. Obviously, what the person did really pained you and in fact as a man, you have enough reasons to react. Yet, you shouldn't have reacted by keeping a grudge against him. It costs you much and you are loosing many valuable things by making him your enemy. The cost of maintaining a relationship is cheaper than maintaining an enemity.
What the person did to you is actually significant because the person is also significant to you that you don't even know how to express your bitterness. However, treat the case as something insignificant, and it won't make meanings to you anymore. Besides, we are human beings and none of us is perfect, so you shouldn't expect perfection from anybody. If someone offends you, first remember that the person is a human being like you "who can always do good, but by chance".
Ignore the offence, and accept the person's shortcomings. Don't demand more than a man can offer or deliver from him. Stop showing personal hatred to anybody. Love all as you love yourself.
Finally, recall that when there was no "good reason" for Christ to love us, even in our many offences, the Bible says, He died for us. Was there anything worth dying for in our lives when Christ died for us?
So as there is no "good reason" (humanly speaking) worth loved in your neighbour, accept him as Christ accepted you. Then, you'll see what a better person such could become and how benefitial he could be to you in the nearest future. Remain blessed as you do. The grace to forgive is right by your side as you read through this page. Just grab it and make use of it today.
